do architects have to show gardens in their plans. If are enclosed does this have to be clearly marked?

I am referring to a development of nine houses in the village I live. They are being built within a conservation area on what was the village green . It appears to be open plan as there are no divisions marked for gardens on the plans. There is however planting shown along with exsisting trees. Should the plans show the houses with gardens if there are going to be gardens.
